Musician’s Health

Having recovered from a playing-related injury myself, I know how difficult and demoralizing it is to experience pain while playing your instrument.

With a Master’s Degree in Injury Preventive Piano Technique, a Yoga Teaching Certification, and an “Essentials of Performing Arts Medicine” Certification, I am committed to educating others about musicians’ health.

Whether it's a chat to share resources and medical practitioners or an inquiry about a yoga class created especially for musicians (think “wrist-free”), I am here to help!

I aim to educate musicians about safe and preventive practices, and am available for podcast appearances, masterclasses, and lectures.

If you are looking to retrain your piano technique, I am certified in teaching the Lister-Sink Method, which you can learn more about below:

Narrow Piano Keys

Otherwise known as alternatively sized keyboards, these instruments have narrow piano keys. Not only do these instruments minimize injury risk for smaller-handed pianists, but they are also a great option for children. While it is common to have smaller violins or violas made, many pianists are unaware that this option exists for us! There is a global movement focused on promoting these instruments and creating a more equitable world. Based in New York City, Stretto Piano Events and the International Stretto Piano Festival are presenting performances on these instruments to raise awareness!

I am available for accompanying, playing in chamber groups, and solo events! I love learning and playing works by living composers, and strive to champion those of female and LGBTQ+ composers. If you are a composer looking to work together, I am always on the lookout for new commissioning projects!
